Jordan Speith dominated play on Sunday to end a boring tournament to watch. More coverage was on celebrities and antics than golfers and any chances of excitment on Sunday were curtailed by Speith’s controlled, “boring” play.
A win’s a win and this puts Speith in the talk for top player from the Big 4. The field wasn’t deep but while Dustin Johnson was enjoying the weekend with Wayne Gretzky, Speith played his way into major Masters contender talk.
Things will get serious from now on, starting at Riviera, then the Florida swing. Also upcoming; the 1st World Golf Championship event in Mexico.
