The Phoenix Open possesses great entertainment and energy. It walks a fine line between professional golf and a rock concert but is healthy for the game once a year. However, moderation is requested or golfers screw up like Steven Bowditch and fans get caught in situations like this,
or act stupid like this,
The Phoenix Open is a mecca for golf fans to act out and have fun. Since that fan ideology isn’t on display each week, golfers play along and show appreciation but public relations would like no golfer DUI’s and less public intoxication arrests from fans before a major incident occurs.
Not done yet with the fun, the PGA is enjoying this week at Pebble Beach with friends/celebrities but things get serious next week in Riviera, followed by the Florida swing, World Golf Championship events, and evidently, The Masters in April.
